Parking

There is limited parking for only ten cars near the house. Many people park at the viewing parking area overlooking Winter Hill and walk down the short distance to the lane and to the barn – this takes around 5-10 minutes. Fortunately for us, especially in winter, our neighbours, the Mercers at the Back of Beyond, have kindly offered their house for parking for most concerts. Please use the contact form to check on parking for a particular event. Wherever you park it’s a good idea to bring a torch for concerts between October and March, and wellington boots are fine!!

Public Transport

Get the train from Maidenhead to Cookham – on Sundays it’s an hourly service leaving Maidenhead at 38 minutes past each hour and arriving at Cookham about 7-8 minutes later. It’s then about 25-30 minute walk.

Turn left out of the station and join the road and turn left to cross the level crossing. Continue straight along this road for about half a mile passing Grange Rd on your right, then Bradcutts Lane on right, then coming to a little triangular patch of grass at a junction where Alleyns Lane goes off to your right. Continue straight on the main road at this point. Shortly after this, after a house called Warners, there is an unmade road going off on the right. Go up that right to the top where there is a house called Lovers Hall (used to be Elms Furlong) on your left. Go through the kissing gate into the field ahead and straight across that field and through another kissing gate you can see Lea Barn.

Trains leave Cookham for Maidenhead at 56 minutes past the hour.
